Federation Chairman's Letter

First a huge THANK YOU to all the WIs who sent us a Christmas Card, the office looked really festive.
Last December four West Kent members were lucky enough to be asked to be on the BBC 'One Show' as WI members in the background doing craft.  We met Matt Baker and Alex Jones who were charming. ( There is a photo in February's WKN of the four members who accepted the invitation.)
The WI Moodle
Have you visited the WI Moodle recently?  There are nearly 10,800 WI Moodle users!  Specialist courses for WI Treasurers, Federation Trustees, Independent Financial Examiners as well as information on training as an NFWI Judge and how to create your own WI website and much, much more can be found at www.training.org.uk
The NFWI has been working on changes to the Constitution and Rules for WIs, Federations and NFWI.  Your WI will soon receive a copy to review and any changes that you feel are not workable you will have the opportunity as a WI to comment.
Did you know that if your WI wants to pass a by-law it needs to send it to Federation Executive for their approval?
Next month is our Annual Council Meeting at the Assembly Halls, Tunbridge Wells.  I look forward to meeting many of you there.
As always we will have the Lucky Denman Draw, it may be you who is lucky this year.
Kind regards
Chris                  February 2012
